If you are a producer-director with a compelling documentary short idea, this is your opportunity to get it fully funded. We will also distribute your final production in a way that amplifies its reach and impact. Incubator Fellows will benefit from the mentorship of Executive Producers and will join elite network of like-minded filmmakers. This program is designed not just to help you create one great film, but also to turn that film into a springboard to further launch your career as a documentarian.

We bring extensive experience producing and directing award winning nationally broadcast PBS documentaries. We also provide funding and distribution channels that we have been building over the past 45+ years, allowing you to focus solely on creating your film.

Whether you are a filmmaker in another sector of the industry looking for a chance to make a documentary your way, or if you are an up and coming documentarian with some experience looking to refine and expand your work, our program can help you take the next step forward with your career.
Your Project
We are looking for 8-15 minute non-fiction documentary shorts that tell a story the mainstream media has ignored. Your film should be an example of serious, honest journalism that tells the full story instead of advocating for a point of view. We favor films with a narrative story structure, and topics of importance to a national audience, especially those right-of-center.
