Jabs and Jeers
For over a century, St. Jerome’s Church in Fancy Farm Kentucky has held a picnic fundraiser in their small town of less than 500 people. Today, in conjunction with a BBQ fundraiser, it also hosts a no-holds barred “Political Speaking” event that has
become the textbook definition of organized chaos. Local and state elected officials or candidates take to the stage and are hit by a wall of cheers and jeers from over 10,000 supporters and antagonists all shouting over each other. Jabs & Jeers follows three elected officials in Kentucky as they prepare, practice, and perform their best jokes, hoping to break through the wall of noise and make a name for themselves.
